You need to see this graph about Google traffic

People are searching Google more times per day than ever, and they are doing it more and more from their mobile device. That makes this question as important as ever going forward: IS YOUR WEBSITE MOBILE FRIENDLY? Use Google’s own tool to check if your website is mobile friendly:  https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly Mobile-friendliness is important for TWO reasons: For better user experience for your website visitors For Google ranking in search. Bring a guest (Or at least invite someone)

This Wednesday will be our third “Pack the House” day meeting, and we expect a fantastic turnout. Be sure to attend and bring a guest, if possible. Your guest does not have to be a local business owner. Feel free to bring your: son, daughter, mom, dad, spouse, sibling, neighbor, friend, butcher, baker, candlestick maker, or anyone! Guests and first time attendees can attend for free, and have the option to speak (but don’t have to). Our meetings have been growing in size and in productivity, which is very exciting. Last week we were honored by the attendance of our Port St. Lucie Mayor, Gregory Oravec. This week’s presenter will be Lisa Iannelli who will display her hand-made jewelry. Also, we are excited to try our NEW 45-CUP COFFEEMAKER! See you at Shameless! Please share this...

The Mayor Visits Shameless!

Port Saint Lucie Mayor Gregory Oravec attended and participated in this week’s Shameless Promotion and Muffins meeting on Wednesday morning. It was exciting to have him with us, and it seemed to bring an extra special energy to the group. Our turnout was 32 strong, and it was truly one of our best meetings ever. A very big thanks to Mayor Oravec for visiting us, and also for his gifted public service to our city! We hope he attends again sometime in the future. He will always be welcome. Google Plus is Shutting Down (for Real)

Since I am a Google Suite customer, I just received the following email message from Google. (This might cause some business owners to be alarmed and worried about their business profile on Google, but they needn’t be, for the most part, since their business profile and the Google My Business infrastructure have already been divorced from Google Plus.) Here’s the message I received: As we announced in December 2018, the consumer version of Google+ is shutting down in April 2019. As a result, as early as February 4, 2019, G Suite customers may see changes to Google+, some of which are listed below. You can find additional information and a detailed timeline in the Help Center article. These changes will allow us to focus on adding enterprise features and improving Google+ for G Suite customers. The process of deleting content from consumer Google+ will take a few months. Some consumer Google+ content may remain visible to G Suite users until consumer Google+ is deleted. Upcoming changes to Google+ for your organization Here are some of the changes your users may...

Do You Know These Amazing Google Tricks?

Google is the undisputed king of search engines and it is being used multiple times per day by millions of Americans. However, did you know that there are tricks you can use to find the results you want faster and easier? By learning the following techniques, you can find the relevant information you seek much more quickly — in many cases. Use Double Quotes When you put double quotes around a search query, Google will look for results more heavily based on that exact phrase rather than results that incorporate the words in various configurations. Example: “Elvis Aaron Presley” Using A Plus Sign When you add a plus sign before a word, you tell Google that that word is high priority and should be a part of any results given. Example: Cheap +microphone cases Use A Minus Sign If you want Google to filter out results based on a keyword, use a minus sign before the word. For example, the search cruise deals -carnival would search for deals on cruises but filter out results with the word carnival in them. Get Results from a Specific Site To search for results within a specific...

It might be this week.) It’s our last meeting in January and we look forward to seeing you. ALSO, put Saturday, February 2nd on your calendar (Groundhog Day) for a Shameless social at Pierced Cider — 5:30pm.
